On April 20th, FISD high school students will get up from their classrooms and walk out of their school to the location their school has decided upon. This walk out will be filled with speeches, performances, voter registration, a moment of silence, honoring and talking about the victims of gun violence, voting information for the mid-term elections, calling representatives, letter writing to representatives, signing a petition demanding our policies to be implemented, and other activities that will help us students rise up and make our voices heard in this important battle for protection from gun violence.
If you are a student at Lone Star High School, you will be walking out at 10 A.M from your first period class. If you are a student at Wakeland High School, you'll be walking out at 12:35, the end of advisory period. The rest of the schools in FISD will be walking out at 12:05, the beginning of advisory period.
